About me

If I had known I was going to write one of these when I was younger, I probably would have done something a bit more interesting in my life to make a better read. But seeing as though I didn’t, I guess I’ll just talk about music.

I have always loved dance music and like most of you, grew up with it from a very early age.  Now I can’t live without it, it’s an addiction that I share with many! As for what genres I prefer, well, I love them all, deep house all the way through to drum and bass. If you have heard me DJ, you will probably see this reflected in my sets. At the end of the day as long as the track has some feel, some emotion to it, then I’ll probably play it!

I believe its standard in these things to talk about musical influences, I could probably discuss this for an insane amount of time, but for now I’ll just mention a few main ones, Sasha, Paul van Dyk, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Hybrid, Ferry Corsten, BT, Deep Dish, Quivver and more recently, Eric Prydz.

My first production experience was at a friend’s house, where he introduced me to Fruity Loops (now FL Studio), that was about nine years ago now. I learnt the basics and continued to use Fruity Loops for production work, but obviously my work was appalling! I was really happy with Fruity Loops, but when Ableton Live 5 was released, I decided to check it out and I haven’t turned back since. It’s a fantastic DAW that suits my workflow and live performances perfectly. After polishing my production skills in Ableton, I reluctantly started sending out demos. But much to my surprise my first track I sent out was picked up by Olympic Records in late 2008, from there the confidence grew and I started dedicating more time to making music! You can check out the releases on my 'Discography' page.

I think that’s enough rambling for now.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my site.
